Library

The JCAA’s Library and Information Centre is a specialized information unit that caters primarily to the information needs of members of staff, but also to the needs of the aviation fraternity and the public.

Role/Objectives of the library

The function of the library is to serve as a repository of information concerning civil aviation procedures. It also provides timely information on amendments to Acts, manuals and other documents to JCAA personnel and members of the civil aviation fraternity, such as air operators, pilots and aircraft maintenance organizations.

Policies

Clientele

  • Members of the JCAA’s staff
  • By appointment, members of the aviation fraternity, research workers and mature students.

Lending

Material is loaned to staff members for a maximum duration of two weeks. Long term loans are also facilitated in cases where a publication is needed for projects, seminars and conferences.

Borrowing privileges may be granted to other government agencies and members of the aviation fraternity.

Opening Hours

Mondays – Thursdays – 8.30 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Fridays – 8.30. a.m. – 4: 00 p.m.
